I previously did a post about fonts I hate (and why you should hate them too). I don’t like to dash dreams, so I’ve come up with a short list of my go to fonts. These fonts lend themselves to so many used so they are the first ones I turn to when starting any project. I’ve decided that I would illustrate my case in favor of “simple” fonts by posting each font with my favorite willy wonka and the chocolate factory quote.

“Candy is dandy, but liquor is quicker.”
Copperplate
Frederic W. Goudy designed Copperplate gothic 1901. This neoclassical style typeface can seem old fashioned and stately but I like to uses it as an unexpected contrast with more with more playful designs, like with the quote above.
